Halo Top Milkshakes Are Coming to Subway, and Yes, They're Loaded With Protein

There's a reason people are obsessed with Halo Top. At around 280-360 calories and 20 grams of protein for an entire pint, the low-calorie ice cream is a delicious treat you can feel good about indulging in. But what about if you're craving your favorite Halo Top flavors in a milkshake form? No need to bust out the blender; Subway has answered our dessert prayers and is exclusively releasing hand-spun milkshakes at select Subway locations.

The milkshakes come in three classic flavors — chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry — and are each 350 calories or less and have at least 20 grams of protein. Compare that to a chocolate milkshake from Shake Shack, which clocks in at 750 calories and 45 grams of fat.

The milkshakes will be available for a limited time from July 22 through Sept. 4. Although the shakes will be available at nearly 1,000 participating Subway locations, they will only be offered in six test markets: Colorado Springs, CO; Hartford, CT; Longview and Tyler, TX; Salt Lake City, UT; Toledo, OH; and West Palm Beach, FL.

If you're lucky enough to live in those select markets, make sure you get your hands on a low-cal Halo Top milkshake while you can. In the meantime, keep reading to see close-up pics of all three mouthwatering flavors.
