How Do You Know Your Date Is a Trainwreck? Amy Schumer Will Tell You

We've been on our fair share of disastrous dates. As we're sure you already know, there's some tell-tale signs your romantic prospect is a total basket case right from the start. We spoke to Amy Schumer and Judd Apatow at a press day for their new rom-com Trainwreck and asked the pair how you can immediately know that your date is a disaster — they had no problem coming up with a couple answers.

POPSUGAR: So what are the signs for you, maybe from personal experiences, that you are dating a trainwreck?

Amy Schumer: Oh god, just flashing through a million memories. I think if a guy goes through four drinks while you're just like halfway through your one and it's like a first date — there's a good chance it's a trainwreck.

Judd Apatow: He could just be nervous.

AS: He could just deal with it.

JA: I knew I was dating a trainwreck once because she had a large basket of condoms next to bed.

AS: Isn't it better that it's not empty?

JA: Well you don't know how often she replenishes them.

AS: Yeah Chris Rock, he's like, "You need to buy new. Like, you can't take out a condom and it's the last condom in the box. You need to get a new box."
