We Don't Know What's More Romantic Than This Intimate Mountainside Elopement

The great thing about eloping is that you can marry virtually anywhere. Without a large guest list, the options are endless. Becca and Bryan took advantage of their intimate gathering and decided to say "I do" in the mountains of Aspen, CO. The couple wanted to wed outdoors, and when Becca stumbled across a photo of the Maroon Bells Amphitheatre, only a state away from their home in New Mexico, she just knew that was it. After confirming that ceremonies were allowed to take place there, the location ended up being more than perfect. It featured built-in seating for a small number of guests to enjoy the stunning landscape.

On the day of the wedding, things didn't start out so smoothly. "The most memorable part of the day was actually what I think was a miracle!" Becca told us. "As we were driving down the winding road that leads to this gorgeous spot, it began to pour down the most intense rain. The fog and clouds were covering up the mountains I so desperately wanted to be seen. Our families were hiding from the rain under a small cover a few steps away just praying the rain would stop."

Once she finally accepted that she and Bryan would have to get married in those conditions, the sky and rain cleared up as soon as she stepped out of the car. It ended up being the most beautiful sunny day, allowing them to get through their ceremony and shoot their portraits in perfect weather. As soon as their photographer took the last shot, the clouds rolled in again for another big storm.

"We had the absolute perfect window to get married, and it was so unbelievably beautiful," Becca said.
