Like every college freshman, I was eager to join extracurriculars and make new friends. By the end of my first semester at Stony Brook University, I had somehow ended up in a sorority. And for the next three years of my college life, I was involved in every aspect of Greek life, from performing in talent shows and hosting fundraisers to volunteering in my community. Although everyone experiences sorority life differently, mine was largely positive and I'm super thankful for the friends I have made and stayed close with. And like any lady who was in a sorority, there are just some things you will never forget. Here's what really goes down on Greek row.
It's not weird at all.
And not knowing what to really do or wear or say.
And praying you get the sister you like.
Greek apparel will cost you an arm and a leg.
Everyone had a T-shirt like this.
At least the juice was inside a black plastic trash bag?
They still don't really get it, but you love them just as much as your sisters.
But knowing half of them might end up joining a rival sorority.
"Guys, act candid in this shot!"
"It's Kappa Phi . . . not Kappa Pi."
By the time you graduate college, you can DIY anything.
Yes, even in Disneyland.
You all DIY-ed the costumes of course, thanks to Pinterest.
This has prepared you to tackle real-world, adult drama. Sorta.
No, we do not bake all the time. Only for fundraisers! Gosh.
Post-college, these ladies are your Sunday brunch crew, b*tches.
