During a time of social distancing, Italians are connecting through music. Many individuals find themselves quarantined in their homes as a result of the new coronavirus, COVID-19, but that won't keep communities from forging bonds. People in Italy — who have been on lockdown since March 9 — are creating impromptu flash mobs by singing or playing instruments from their balconies.

Videos of the musical moments are gaining popularity across social media, supplying a glimmer of hope and boosting morale. "Italians are really good at celebrating life even in hardest of circumstances," one Twitter user wrote. Ahead, see a few of the clips for yourself and bask in this bright spot.
