Not only does beauty genius Kat Von D completely understand this plight, she knows that her fans have been clamoring for more diverse hues in her cult-favorite Shade + Light contouring set. Today, her brand debuted a refillable version of the palette [2] ($49) on Sephora's website. You can also purchase refillable pans [3] for $14 (the smaller highlight pans) and $16 (larger contouring pans) apiece.
On the company's Instagram, it was announced that new colors will be available in 2017. It's unclear what shade extensions will be produced for the Shade + Light set, but we expect that the options will be satisfying. Earlier this year, Kat Von D dramatically expanded its foundation and concealer offerings to include both lighter and darker options, making a lot of Kat's fans (who have a wide variety of skin tones!) happy.
