Kat Von D Is Making Her Cult-Favorite Contour Palette For All Skin Tones

Unless you've found the most magical, flattering face palette of all time, you're likely to face the following scenario: you've hit pan on your two favorite shades, while the rest of the colors in the compact go largely untouched. This is an especially common issue with contouring palettes.

Not only does beauty genius Kat Von D completely understand this plight, she knows that her fans have been clamoring for more diverse hues in her cult-favorite Shade + Light contouring set. Today, her brand debuted a refillable version of the palette ($49) on Sephora's website. You can also purchase refillable pans for $14 (the smaller highlight pans) and $16 (larger contouring pans) apiece.

On the company's Instagram, it was announced that new colors will be available in 2017. It's unclear what shade extensions will be produced for the Shade + Light set, but we expect that the options will be satisfying. Earlier this year, Kat Von D dramatically expanded its foundation and concealer offerings to include both lighter and darker options, making a lot of Kat's fans (who have a wide variety of skin tones!) happy.
