I'm always down to road-test a buzzy makeup trend, but there are a few classic beauty looks I very clearly favor every fall. In fact, I consider them nearly synonymous with the autumnal season — right there next to pumpkin spice lattes, cable knit sweaters, and apple picking.
As long as I have the right products by my side, I can count on these looks to help me feel put-together and confident. Plus, I've found they pair well with all of my fall fashion staples. And, thanks to their steadfast popularity, I can always find a tutorial to help me brush up on my skills.
Keep scrolling to find out my favorite three makeup looks and why they'll always make my rotation.
Dark Lipstick
Each fall, I stash away my hot pink lipstick and vibrant corals and break out my moodier berry shades and deep wine-red tubes. I like pairing these with lots of eyelashes and bare lids or with shimmery taupe eyeshadow.
Soft Smoky Eyes
Burnt orange, bronze, and brown hues are everywhere come fall — including on eyelids. I consider these warm earth tones, in both shimmery and matte finishes, my go-to tools for creating a softer smoky-eye look. I suggest pairing them with smouldering black eyeliner, a cat-eye wing, or let the shades shine solo.
Monochromatic Rosy Makeup
Picture this: a rosy lip-and-cheek look with a cream chunky sweater or a brown plaid oversize blazer. It's good, right? Fresh and natural-looking monochromatic makeup just works so well in the fall. It also lends itself wall to creamy multi-use sticks, bringing simplistic and ease to your daily routine.
