Beyoncé was literally dripping in jewels at the Lion King premiere in Hollywood. As stunning as her sparkling Alexander McQueen ensemble was, it was the intricacy of her braided finger waves that we couldn't take our eyes off of.
We love a protective style, especially in the very hot or very cold seasons when natural hair needs a little extra love. Celebrities are often seen rocking long box braids or straight-back cornrows on the red carpet, but Beyoncé's stylist gave us some brand-new hairspiration with this '20s-inspired twist on classic cornrows.

We love the idea of interpreting popular protective styles as iconic vintage hairstyles.
As for Beyoncé's neutral makeup look, her makeup artist went for a glossy, maroon smoky eye with lightly flushed cheeks and a glossy nude lip. The minimal take on her beauty look really keeps the attention on her sumptuous jewels and the delicate intricacy of her incredibly fresh, braided look.
