The internet is full of insane conspiracy theories, but none of them are as great as the one about Adele and Sam Smith being one and the same person. It may be tongue-in-cheek, but it's definitely entertaining! It all started again when Twitter user @Terpish noticed that the Adele recently skipped the Grammy Awards, and that the two British singers have never been in the same place at the same time.

While this definitely isn't enough to prove anything, Twitter user @jesse21valona added a convincing clue to the theory when he slowed down Adele's hit song "Hello." As the video starts, you can clearly hear Adele's gorgeous voice, but then . . . people are convinced that Sam is singing.

The tweet, which was posted a few days ago, has already been retweeted more than 100,000 times, and some people have since been wondering whether Adele and Sam Smith might actually be the same person.

However, when one of Sam Smith's songs was then sped up to see if he would sound like Adele, the results weren't quite what everyone was hoping for.

And now, other fans are finding a similarity between Sam and Halsey.

It sounds like halsey 💀
