Andy Cohen Announces He's Going to Be a Dad: "Family Means Everything to Me"

Apart from fathering the sprawling Real Housewives franchise, Andy Cohen just announced he's going to be a dad! The 50-year-old Bravo producer and host shared the exciting news on his talk show, Watch What Happens Live. "I've always tried to be as transparent as possible about my life. I overshare and I expect everyone around me to do the same," Andy said, addressing viewers at home. "I want you to be the first to know that after many years of careful deliberation, a fair amount of prayers, and the benefit of science — if all goes according to plan — in about six weeks' time, I am going to become a father."

After a lot of cheering from the audience and the Housewives he had on as guests that evening, Andy went on to explain that he's expecting via a "wonderful" surrogate, who is "carrying my future," he added.

Andy also shared the announcement on Instagram, which received many glowing and encouraging comments from his celebrity friends, including John Mayer, Anderson Cooper, and Kelly Ripa. At the end of the clip, Andy said he cannot wait for what he anticipates will be his "most rewarding chapter yet." Adding, "Family means everything to me, and having one of my own is something I have wanted in my heart for my entire life." Watch the emotional announcement in its entirety above.
