When Emma Watson [1] hit the stage at the BAFTA Los Angeles Jaguar Britannia Awards [2] in LA on Thursday, she gave a sweet shoutout to one very unlikely recipient — her dead hamster. Emma accepted the British artist of the year award, and during her speech she explained that the British film industry has been like a surrogate family to her, as she more or less grew up on the Harry Potter [3] set. She went on to describe "a sweet but slightly morbid example," saying that the Harry Potter set decorators built a small mahogany hamster coffin when her hamster died.
