Emma Watson's Speech at the 2014 BAFTA Awards

The Forever Flawless Emma Watson Dedicated an Award to Her Dead Hamster

When Emma Watson hit the stage at the BAFTA Los Angeles Jaguar Britannia Awards in LA on Thursday, she gave a sweet shoutout to one very unlikely recipient — her dead hamster. Emma accepted the British artist of the year award, and during her speech she explained that the British film industry has been like a surrogate family to her, as she more or less grew up on the Harry Potter set. She went on to describe "a sweet but slightly morbid example," saying that the Harry Potter set decorators built a small mahogany hamster coffin when her hamster died. As she wrapped up her speech, Emma joked, "Rest in peace, Millie. This one's for you." Watch her heartfelt speech, then see why Emma is real-life magic!
