Ian Somerhalder took to Twitter after midnight Thursday to wish Nina Dobrev a happy birthday. "The world loves you!" he wrote. Nina and Ian Somerhalder broke up last year, but The Vampire Diaries stars' chemistry certainly hasn't suffered. Ian's thoughtful tweet came mere hours after the former couple reunited on the People's Choice Awards stage in LA on Wednesday. Their adorable acceptance speech for the favorite onscreen chemistry award included back-and-forth banter about the status of their on- and offscreen relationships, ending with the fact that their characters are still dating on the show despite their real-life breakup. Nina exclaimed, "Good thing it's not awkward!" before they exchanged an uncomfortable look. After a beat, Nina added, "Well, it's a good thing we have chemistry!" It got even sweeter, though, when Ian gave Nina a big kiss on the cheek before they headed behind the curtain to celebrate their big win.
