On Saturday, March 24, Paul McCartney joined hundreds of others in New York City to protest gun violence following the tragic shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, FL, last month. Wearing a shirt that read "We can end gun violence" at March For Our Lives, he shared how important gun reform is to him since losing fellow Beatles member John Lennon more than 37 years ago. "One of my best friends was killed in gun violence right around here, so it's important to me," McCartney told CNN, referencing the Dakota apartment building in Manhattan where Lennon was shot and killed.
