Taraji P. Henson just might be the most entertaining storyteller in Hollywood. When the Empire star stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon [1], she had the entire audience cracking up as she recounted the details of her engagement to Kelvin Hayden [2].

The 48-year-old actress explained how her hubby-to-be took her to the restaurant where they had their first date and tricked her into thinking they were joining a celebration for his friend's birthday. But when she entered the back room of the eatery, there was a violinist playing "Adorn" by Miguel, which she admits is "one of [her] favorite songs," so she knew something was up. Taraji turned around to see Kelvin down on one knee with her enormous engagement ring [3] in hand and immediately started crying — so much so that her false eyelashes popped off! "They looked like a spider on the floor," she said of her fallen lashes.

Taraji also opened up to Jimmy Fallon [4] about her preliminary wedding plans, revealing that she and Kelvin [5] want something "small" and "very private" with a minimal amount of press present.
