Miley Cyrus brought her famous parents as her dates to the Grammys on Sunday, but there was one member of her family missing: her husband Liam Hemsworth. Though the couple has been making a handful of adorable appearances together lately, the Australian actor was visibly absent from the award show.

So, why wasn't he at the show with Miley? His Isn't It Romantic costar Rebel Wilson told Extra that he was hospitalized on Saturday night and missed on a press day for the upcoming romantic comedy. Us Weekly later reported that the "canceled his junket interviews Sunday because he was suffering from kidney stones."

Though Liam wasn't feeling good enough to attend the LA premiere of his film on Monday, his wife Miley stepped in for him on the red carpet. "So proud of my hunky hubby @liamhemsworth & his newest movie #IsntItRomantic ❤️ He unfortunately wasn't able to attend due to health reasons . . . but he is recovering and taking this time to rest / heal," she wrote following the premiere. "It's hard for entertainers to put themselves before the project but this time it was crucial . . . I am proud to represent him and his incredible work. So happy to see him shining in this comedy! He is the funniest person I know, and the world now gets to see the Liam I wake up to every day . . . luckiest 💋"
