Game of Thrones star Natalie Dormer and partner David Oakes welcomed a baby daughter in January this year. Natalie recently shared the news of her first child on the That's After Life! podcast hosted by Dame Esther Rantzen and Adrian Mills, after keeping her pregnancy out of the spotlight throughout the past year of lockdown.

"The perfect thing to do in a pandemic is get pregnant and have a baby," Natalie said to Esther on the That's After Life! podcast. "Well that's amazing, and how old is she?" Esther asked. "She's 12 weeks, she's just three months. She's an absolute joy," Natalie said. "I'm never going to complain about shooting hours ever again because the sleep deprivation is something else." Natalie goes on to explain that she completely underestimated how tiring it is being a new mum. "You hear people say, oh your whole perspective on life will change, and your whole set of value systems will alter, and you sort of roll your eyes as a childless person, and go yeah, yeah . . . you don't know the true meaning of life until you've had a baby, and then you have one and you go, oh, wow. It really does completely alter the lens."
