Broadway's Aladdin Celebrated Its Anniversary With a 5-Genie Medley, and It Was Pure Magic

What could be better than one genie? Five of them! To celebrate Aladdin's fifth anniversary on Broadway, the musical's past and present genies — including original genie James Monroe Iglehart, current star Michael James Scott, tour genie Major Attaway, and current Broadway genie standbys Juwan Crawley and Deonté L. Warren — performed an epic medley during the show on Sunday.

After Iglehart asked if he could kick things off, the rest of the genies hilariously replied, "You're the Tony winner!" before letting him take center stage to sing "Proud of Your Boy." The rest of the medley included performances of "These Palace Walls," "High Adventure," and "A Whole New World," before the entire group joined together to sing a truly magical rendition of "Friend Like Me." Yep, it's definitely time we get tickets to see this show again!
