Just a few weeks after Ariana Grande blessed us with the iconic music video for "Thank U, Next," she's back at it again, releasing another single from her upcoming fifth album. Titled "Imagine," the brand-new track has a slowed-down tempo and shows Grande's vulnerable side, as she longingly sings, "Love how my face fits so good in your neck. Why can't you imagine a world like that?"
Leading up to the song's release at midnight on Dec. 14, Grande shared a message about its meaning on her Instagram Stories, writing, "For those of you asking about imagine: I would say if 'thank u, next' = acceptance... 'imagine' = denial. Hope that makes sense." The 25-year-old singer also responded to a fan's tweet about the track, explaining that it's "kind of like... pretending it never ended" — the "it" being a relationship.
