Ariana Grande Performed "Imagine" on TV For the First Time, and My God, the Whistle Tones!

Ariana Grande brought all sorts of magic and power to the stage during her debut TV performance of "Imagine" on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The 25-year-old singer not only helped the host re-create an iconic Saturday Night Live skit during her Dec. 18 visit but also blew us away (once again) with her vocal talents. Joined by The Roots, Grande brought the romantic track from her new album to life for the audience, complete with several impossibly high whistle tones. The. woman. can. sing!

It's rumored that "Imagine" is a tribute to Grande's ex-boyfriend Mac Miller, who died of an accidental overdose in September. While Grande has described her previous track "Thank U, Next" as "self-assured" and "commanding," this latest song draws heavily from vulnerability, an emotion you can definitely recognize in her powerful performance. Watch the video above to hear her unbelievable range for yourself.
