Common and John Legend [1] took home the best original song Golden Globe Award for "Glory," which was featured in the critically acclaimed Selma. The duo was presented with the trophy by Prince and seemed stunned by their win as they hit the stage to address the crowd with a moving, poignant acceptance speech that brought tears to the eyes of A-listers in the audience. Common gave his thanks to the studio and filmmakers — which included Oprah Winfrey [2] — and put tons of passion on display while saying, "Selma has awakened my humanity. We look to the future, and we want to create a better world. Now is our time to change the world. Selma is now."
