Hold on to your f*cking hats, horror fans. Just when we thought we'd reached peak terror with all the scary movies coming out this Fall [1], a new entry has come crashing through the car window. It's called The Monster, and the premise is simple: a young woman (Zoe Kazan) and her daughter get stranded alone in the woods after hitting a dog. As misfortune would have it, though, they're not so alone after all: some sort of otherworldly creature is on the hunt. If you had nightmares because of The Babadook or enjoyed the thrill of that grotesque monster on Netflix's Stranger Things [2], this is just the film for you.
