I live for cheesy, soapy, reality TV in the Summer, but there if you prefer something scripted, there are a handful of new options hitting the small screen this Summer. The major networks all have something in the works, but Netflix is already emerging as a major player. In addition to debuting new seasons of hits like Orange Is the New Black [1] and House of Cards [2], the streaming site has five major new shows that we can't wait to see. Anne With an E
Netflix's Anne of Green Gables adaptation (previously just known as Anne) stars Amybeth McNulty as the titular peppy heroine.

Fargo breakout Allison Tolman shares the spotlight with a bored, sassy canine in this ABC sitcom about an owner's relationship with her dog.

The Keepers
Netflix's new docuseries looks every bit as captivating as Making a Murderer [3]. This one centers on the unsolved 1969 murder of a Catholic nun.

Twin Peaks
Technically, this isn't a new show. David Lynch's bizarre masterpiece is returning [5] to Showtime with a ton of new cast members [6] (in addition to the faces you know and love).

Still Star-Crossed
This ABC drama is produced by Shonda Rhimes, but don't expect it to be anything like Grey's Anatomy [7] or Scandal. The sexy series picks up after the deaths of Romeo and Juliet, telling the story of those left behind.

I'm Dying Up Here
Jim Carrey [8] is an executive producer on this Showtime series inspired by Mitzi Shore, the famous owner of L.A.'s Comedy Store. Set in the '70s, the show stars Melissa Leo as Goldie Herschlag, and costars Ari Graynor, Clark Duke, Michael Angarano, and Al Madrigal.

Niecy Nash's new show on TNT may be set in a Florida salon, but it's about much more than just nails. The five women who work in the shop are into some shady sh*t, and I'm 100-percent here for it.

The Mist
Spike's televised take [9] on the classic Stephen King tale has already put us into a traumatized state. If you've seen the movie, you know things don't end well.

GLOW
Netflix's newest potential hit stars Alison Brie [10] as Ruth, a newcomer to the world of women's wrestling. Created by Orange Is the New Black [11]'s Jenji Kohan and set in 1980s Los Angeles, you know this is going to be a good time.

Snowfall
FX's new drama tells the story of how the crack epidemic began. Get ready for some scathing social commentary.

The Bold Type
Ever dreamed of living in NYC and working for Cosmopolitan? This Freeform series is inspired by the magazine's editor in chief, Joanna Coles. The glamorous series just might fill the Pretty Little Liars [12]-shaped hole in your heart.

Salvation
An asteroid is six months from hitting Earth and our only hope is a scientist and a tech genius. This new CBS show, starring Santiago Cabrera (Big Little Lies) is already stressing me out.

Midnight, Texas
NBC's new supernatural series is giving me serious True Blood vibes. It's set in a small Texas town and features a cast of, shall we say, abnormal characters.

Somewhere Between
If you're sad that The CW has canceled Frequency, this new show might be the replacement you're looking for. Paula Patton plays a mother who travels back in time to save her daughter's life in this ABC drama.

The Sinner
Jessica Biel [13] returns to TV with this eight-episode miniseries on USA about a mother who randomly murders someone at the beach. Bill Pullman plays an investigator tasked with figuring out the reason for her violent act, but even she doesn't understand why she did it.

The Defenders
All of Netflix's Marvel heroes will come together in this super series. If you think Daredevil, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, and Iron Fist are badass on their own, wait until you see them together.

Disjointed
Netflix is capping out a Summer full of new original shows with the comedy Disjointed, starring Kathy Bates as an advocate for legalizing marijuana.
