Scarlett Johansson [1] has already conquered the world of superheroes, and now she might be taking on anime. She's been offered the lead role in Ghost in the Shell [2], a popular manga series that DreamWorks is adapting into a live-action movie. The futuristic series follows public security officers who make up the police force in mid-21st-century Japan. The heroine, Major Motoko Kusanagi, is part human and part cyborg, making her a target to enemies. Johansson already knows how to kick butt thanks to The Avengers and Lucy, so this should be interesting . . .
