Scarlett Johansson Has Been Offered the Lead in Ghost in the Shell

Scarlett Johansson has already conquered the world of superheroes, and now she might be taking on anime. She's been offered the lead role in Ghost in the Shell, a popular manga series that DreamWorks is adapting into a live-action movie. The futuristic series follows public security officers who make up the police force in mid-21st-century Japan. The heroine, Major Motoko Kusanagi, is part human and part cyborg, making her a target to enemies. Johansson already knows how to kick butt thanks to The Avengers and Lucy, so this should be interesting . . .
