It's been a long few months without Scream Queens, which means we're more excited than ever to have tons of details about the next installment — premiering Tuesday. Back in July, the show's Comic-Con panel was jam-packed with stars, from Lea Michele [1] to the newly added Taylor Lautner [2] and John Stamos to Emma Roberts — who, as you may recall, dished tons of sick burns as Chanel Oberlin [3] last year. This time around, it seems the show is really upping the stakes; it's supposed to be bloodier and funnier than ever [4]. Check out the cast's new and intriguing hints about season two, then see all the other details [5] we've gotten so far.
Cocreator Ian Brennan
- On the setting: "Dean Munsch correlates her fame as an icon of — it's called 'new new feminism' — and her subsequent book tour, and parlays that money into purchasing a hospital. It's sort of unclear what her reasoning is. There's a bit of gray area there. Um, yeah. It's a former asylum."
- On new cast members to expect: "We have Colton Haynes, and we're very excited to have Cecily Strong."
- On whether the babies from season one will come into play: "I can't comment on that specifically."
Emma Roberts
- On whether it's the hospital the girls were in before: "It's not!"
- On the Chanels: "They have fallen from glamour, but they're trying to hold onto it as much as they can . . . so, it's funny seeing them try to hold onto their style, they have no money. They have to work, which is something that's completely foreign to them. It's hilarious, it's fun."
- On the fashion: "They definitely have some really cool hospital gear. There's definitely some, like, fur stethoscopes and some rhinestone stethoscopes. There's definitely a lot of capes. I was like, 'I don't know if people wear little capelets when they're working in the hospital, that are pink, but OK, we'll go with it.'"
Lea Michele
- On Hester: "I'm very happy, I'm not with these guys in the hospital. But we do have scenes together, and my costume is very comfortable. And I have a fun new accessory to play with."
John Stamos
- On his character: "I said yes, then I called Brad — he was in Ireland to see Bruce Springsteen — I said, 'What am I doing? I'll do anything.' He said, 'You play a doctor.' I said, 'Cool, I've done that on ER.' You know. He said, 'But, you know, you're the recipient of the world's first complete hand transplant . . . you may have a hand from a surgeon, or you may have a hand from a squash player who killed his opponents and then ate them.'"
Keke Palmer
- On the status of Zayday Williams: "She's a med student . . . she's there to help Dean Munsch. Dean Munsch plucked her out of whatever obscurity that she was after all the murders."
Jamie Lee Curtis
- On the setting: "There's a three-year time jump."
- On John Stamos's role: "[He's] hired as the head of surgery."
