SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE -- Episode 1743
NBC

It's an exciting day in the entertainment world, as NBC has confirmed that Michael Che and Colin Jost will host the 2018 Emmy Awards held on Sept. 17. The Hollywood Reporter announced that the Saturday Night Live "Weekend Update" duo are the first non-late-night hosts to lead the award show since former SNL star Eddie Murphy took the stage in 1983.

"NBC is thrilled to be the home of this year's Emmy Awards, and with Colin and Michael in the driver's seat as hosts, along with surprise appearances by other cast members of Saturday Night Live, I think we are in for one of the funniest awards shows in a long time," NBC Entertainment chairman Robert Greenblatt said.

Bring on the little laugh attacks and the ruthless political jokes because live from the 2018 Emmys, it's Michael Che and Colin Jost!
