When Normal People [1] actors Daisy Edgar-Jones [2] and Paul Mescal [3] visited The Late Late Show With James Corden on Wednesday night, they'd have expected to discuss their character's off-the-charts chemistry. What they probably didn't expect was being forced to re-create that chemistry on the spot . . . by acting out a scene of Gordon Ramsay [4] in an episode of Hell's Kitchen. Or Guy Fieri describing — in great detail — a cabbage dish.

But once again, Daisy and Paul proved that they really are the queen and king of onscreen passion [5]. They kept their cool while talking about an intricate meal involving cabbage and didn't crack once during their rendition of a Home Shopping Network advertisement. But it was Gordon Ramsay yelling about crab that really broke them — especially Paul, and frankly, especially me, too.
