Get out your snow boots: the full "Yellowjackets" season two trailer is finally here, and the titular soccer team have a major new problem to face. On Jan. 13, Showtime released the first preview of the season, in which the team deal with the reality of the harsh winter of 1996, which means tons and tons of snow. And in the present day, the adults are still struggling to make sense of what happened out there and how it affects their current lives.

Then on March 9, the network dropped the second season two trailer, which is set to Florence and the Machine's new single "Just a Girl" — a cover of No Doubt's 1995 song of the same name. The new promo teases the darkness the team endured in the wilderness, which still follows them 25 years later. "I thought we left it there when we were rescued," a horrified adult Lottie (Simone Kessell) says in the clip, "but now I realize we brought it back with us."

Season one of "Yellowjackets" ended with the shocking reveal of younger Lottie (Courtney Eaton) as the Antler Queen and the heartbreaking death of Jackie (Ella Purnell), which left us with a lot of questions for future episodes.

For season two, the cast is expanding, adding Lauren Ambrose as the adult version of Van and "Obi-Wan Kenobi" actor Kessell as the older version of Lottie. Liv Hewson, who plays the '90s version of Van, is also being promoted to series regular. Meanwhile, Elijah Wood has joined as a citizen detective who will spar with Misty (Christina Ricci). And don't worry about the show going away anytime soon: Showtime has already renewed it for season three.

Previously, series showrunners Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson spoke to Variety in May 2022 about their plans for season two. "We are definitely re-visiting the winter storyline," Lyle said. "We've been calling Season 2, 'The Winter of Their Discontent,'" which is a reference to Shakespeare's "Richard III."

That same month, Ricci told Jimmy Fallon that she's been reading fan theories online, which she called "fascinating." She talked about one theory that Misty is a serial killer. "She casually murders somebody and she has a bunker ready for kidnap victims. That bunker was ready to go," Ricci said. "I would say that she has probably done it before, but I don't know." Ricci also addressed theories that Jackie didn't die in the woods. "I don't see how that one is possible, to tell you the truth," she said. "She froze to death. We saw it."
