Taryn Brumfitt, like so many other women, is seeking to help women embrace their bodies and love themselves [1]. Founder of the Body Image Movement, which teaches women the power that comes with positive body image, Taryn's mission [2] is to "harness and facilitate positive body image activism by leading a global movement that creates a shift in the way women think about themselves and their bodies."
Her documentary, Embrace, was inspired by her desire to teach her daughter to love her body — but first, she realized, she had to love her own body. She entered herself into a bodybuilding competition, which gave her a "perfect" body, but it didn't seem to change how she felt about herself.

It wasn't until she gained some weight back and posted the above before-and-after photo to Facebook — which immediately went viral — that she realized that body image is all about loving your body however it is. Embrace is in preproduction now that it has met its Kickstarter [3] goal and will start shooting in July.
