Aunt gave birth yesterday and grandpa was very excited [1] from oldpeoplefacebook [2]
These days, when a baby is born, group texts start flying around with photos of the new baby, Instagram posts are lined up [3] and sweetly captioned, and visitors start flooding the mom's hospital room (with her permission, of course [4]). Excitement is normally palpable. However, one grandpa is proving that you actually can be pretty blasé about a baby's birth — even if it's your own grandchild.
In a post to Reddit, user DM_Me_pics_of_sloths shared a screen grab of a group message between five people, sharing a photo of their aunt's new baby [5]. "Aunt gave birth yesterday and grandpa was very excited," the caption sarcastically reads, as grandpa's reaction to the new baby's photo was a simple and hilarious "OK." Maybe he's not great at texting, or perhaps he's welcomed such a large number of grandchildren by now that he's indifferent — either way, his reaction is killing us.
