This Baseball Player's Walk-Up Song Is Baby Shark, So Prepare to Get Jiggy With It

In baseball, the sacred walk-up song tradition has been pumping batters up for years now. But Elvis Andrus — a Rangers short stop and dad to a 20-month-old son Elvis Jr. — picked a song parents know allllll too well for his tune of choice. As soon as Elvis walked up to the plate on March 28, the "Baby Shark Song" started blasting from the stadium's speakers. And while I totally thought the 30-year-old dad lost a bet in the clubhouse, apparently he picked the song on purpose.

"Baby Shark" is Elvis Jr.'s favorite song, and believe it or not, the beloved toddler anthem might also be good luck: he hit a two-run home run in the third inning against the Cubs that day. "If you don't like it, you better get used to it, it's not going away," he said earlier this week. "Hopefully 'Baby Shark' can hit well . . . [If it can] at least get me one hit a day, it's going to stay."
