I've Seen Every Queer Eye Episode, and This New One of the Fab 5 Giving a Shelter Dog a Makeover Is My Favorite

The tears I've shed while watching Netflix's Queer Eye could fill buckets, but someone better pass me an empty one, because this surprise, new miniepisode featuring a rescue dog is making leaky faucets out of my eyelids.

To raise awareness of National Adopt a Shelter Pet Day, which was Wednesday, the Fab Five got together in New York City to give a sweet 3-year-old Corgi mix named Lacey a makeover.

Much like the show's human "heroes," Lacey is already pretty amazing, but she was nominated by a woman named Rosie who works at the North Shore Animal League and wants to help her get adopted.

The 15-minute episode offers all the things we've come to expect from the show — Antoni baked her some homemade peanut butter treats, Jonathan helped the pooch "level up her product game" complete with a paw pedicure, and after working through some abandonment issues, everyone's favorite culture expert gave her a pep talk to prepare her for her forever home (repeat after Karamo: "I'm a good girl, and I deserve love!"). Even Bobby and Tan helped out, outfitting Lacey with a cozy dog bed and chic dog collars.

Sure, I was a wee bit disappointed to discover that Tan is decidedly against dog sweaters ("we do not appreciate clothes on dogs, that's not OK"), but this episode was so adorable from start to tissue-clutching finish that I don't know if I want the Fab Five bothering with humans come season four. Pet heroes forever!
