It's cold out there, which means making sure all our officers are equipped for the chilly weather; even the furry ones! Looks like K9 Jary's new snow boots are going to take some getting-used-to...

Getting your pets geared up for Winter [2] is no easy feat. And while I've already totally given up on trying to squeeze my giant dog into a coat — or leggings, god forbid! [3] — apparently police dogs have it way worse: they have to wear shoes. Recently, officers from the Rapid City Police Department in Michigan shared a hilarious video of one of their K9 unit members wearing a pair of booties for the fist time [4]. And yep, it'll probably take a little practice getting around in them!
"It's cold out there, which means making sure all our officers are equipped for the chilly weather; even the furry ones!" the department wrote in the caption. "Looks like K9 Jary's new snow boots are going to take some getting used to . . . "
Surprise, surprise, the clip is going completely viral. So far the sweet video has racked up nearly 65,000 shares and 24,000 reactions. Fingers crossed Jary gets used to his Reebarks! Get it?!
