Video of a Police Dog Wearing Shoes For the First Time

This K9 Unit Pup Tried On His Winter Booties For the First Time, and Nope, Doesn't Like That!

Getting your pets geared up for Winter is no easy feat. And while I've already totally given up on trying to squeeze my giant dog into a coat — or leggings, god forbid! — apparently police dogs have it way worse: they have to wear shoes. Recently, officers from the Rapid City Police Department in Michigan shared a hilarious video of one of their K9 unit members wearing a pair of booties for the fist time. And yep, it'll probably take a little practice getting around in them!

"It's cold out there, which means making sure all our officers are equipped for the chilly weather; even the furry ones!" the department wrote in the caption. "Looks like K9 Jary's new snow boots are going to take some getting used to . . . "

Surprise, surprise, the clip is going completely viral. So far the sweet video has racked up nearly 65,000 shares and 24,000 reactions. Fingers crossed Jary gets used to his Reebarks! Get it?!
