Carlos and Alexa PenaVega love to share glimpses of their home life. The couple did just that on June 5, posting an Instagram photo of themselves [1] wrapped up in a sweet embrace with their three kids, along with the caption "FAMILIA," which is clearly the center of their world.
Both stars rose to fame at a relatively young age — Carlos starred in "Big Time Rush" and Alexa in "Spy Kids" — but these days, they seem to want to focus on giving their own kids a fun childhood. The stars's three children, Ocean, Kingston, and Rio, are bona-fide beachcombers, as right after Alexa had Ocean [2] in 2016, she and Carlos decided to relocate to Maui. "We'd always talked about moving to Hawaii, but later on in life, like a retirement plan. But we also knew that we didn't want to raise our kids in Los Angeles," Alexa told Fox [3] in 2022. But they decided to make the leap, and haven't looked back. "The Maui culture is about family, about community. I think that's something that was getting lost when we were living in Los Angeles," Alexa added.
Their daughter, Rio, joined the party in May 2022, and now this family spend their days living a fairly relaxed life in the sunshine. By the looks of Instagram — including accounts for all three kiddos — they spend a ton of time swimming in the ocean and traveling around the world.

Ocean King PenaVega
Alexa and Carlos's first child, a son named Ocean, was born on Dec. 7, 2016. Alexa told Parents [5] in 2018 why they decided to name their son Ocean. "Every year we go on a fishing trip and turn off our phones. It's so peaceful. I was pregnant during our last trip, and Carlos insisted on the name because we're always on the water. It was perfect for our son — he even came out with blue eyes," she said.
A few months after Ocean was born, Alexa told E! [6] that he is just like Carlos. "It's so cliché but you see this little thing that two people created and being able to see pieces of Carlos in Ocean." Little Ocean loved doting on his pregnant mama [7] before his little brother was born and spends most of his days hanging out at the beach [8] with his family, and his parents often document his many adventures on his very own Instagram account [9].
Kingston James PenaVega
The couple's second child, a son named Kingston, was born on June 30, 2019. Both Alexa and Carlos shared the announcement on social media right after he was born, per People [10], and now the tot also has his own Instagram account [11]. Kingston started walking at 7 months old [12] and now spends his days running around at the beach with his big brother.
Rio Rey PenaVega
Alexa and Carlos's third child [13], a daughter named Rio, was born on May 7, 2022, a month earlier than expected. Both parents announced Rio's birth on Instagram, writing: "Little Rio could not wait to come out and play with her brothers! Momma is feeling good and baby girl is kicking some serious booty in the NICU. Praying we can all be home together very soon! What a wave of emotions. Much love and thanks to all the Nurses, Doctors from Maui to Oahu - who brought little Rio safely into this world." Since then, they've shared plenty of precious snaps [14] of their little girl.
