Christina Fattore, an associate professor at the University of West Virginia, recently proved that people's lives on social media might not be all roses and butterflies, despite what we may think. In a now-viral Twitter thread, Christina shared her "decade in review," and while she certainly had an impressive 10 years, it wasn't without setbacks.

"My decade in review: Got engaged, Got married, Had baby #1, Bought a house, Tenured, Had Baby #2, Kicked ass at work," she wrote. And while that all looks great on paper, Christina asked her followers, "Now... want to know a secret?" before giving some much-needed detail into how the events of the past ten years actually went down for her. Keep reading to get a look at Christina's "unedited" version, which proves that sometimes the road to motherhood, career success, and all the rest isn't always as straightforward as we think.
