Sure, you already know you can get all the free books you want at your local library, but that's just the beginning. There's a vast number of free books and ebooks out there just waiting for you and your kids to find them! When your little one needs something to do — especially if they're home all day and need a break from the TV — help them find some books to read with one of these resources. Dolly Parton's Imagination Library

Dolly Parton set up the Imagination Library, which sends free books to kids all over the world. Check the site to see if your area is eligible, and then register! To date, the foundation has donated over 133 million books!

You can download a huge number of children's books from Oxford Owl. Once you've created a free account, you can browse through tons of titles and read online.

Little Lending Library

You might have a little lending library in your neighborhood that looks like this. It's just like a regular library in that you can borrow books, and you can also add books of your own to it so you can share with your community.

If you have a Kindle, you can also check books out from the Kindle Owner's Lending Library. It functions much the same as your local library, except you're checking out ebooks straight to your tablet!
