All the Cool Kids Were at Alexander Wang x H&M Last Night

If there's one designer whose party-planning skills rival his fashion creations it's Alexander Wang. Last night's launch event for his hotly anticipated Alexander Wang x H&M collaboration [1] was a seriously good time, with a guest list that included everyone from Jessica Chastain to Justin Theroux and Dakota Fanning [2] to Mary J. Blige . . . most of whom got the all-black dress code memo.

A bit of a hike for the fashion elite (though his Fall 2014 fashion show in Brooklyn [3] proved he can get fans to travel anywhere for him), the event was held at the Armory on the Hudson in northern Manhattan on an indoor track. The event — which included a men's and women's runway show, the opening of a pop-up shop, and a rare performance by Missy Elliott — was truly a cool kids' playground.
