All the Cool Kids Were at Alexander Wang x H&M Last Night
If there's one designer whose party-planning skills rival his fashion creations it's Alexander Wang. Last night's launch event for his hotly anticipated Alexander Wang x H&M collaboration was a seriously good time, with a guest list that included everyone from Jessica Chastain to Justin Theroux and Dakota Fanning to Mary J. Blige . . . most of whom got the all-black dress code memo.
A bit of a hike for the fashion elite (though his Fall 2014 fashion show in Brooklyn proved he can get fans to travel anywhere for him), the event was held at the Armory on the Hudson in northern Manhattan on an indoor track. The event — which included a men's and women's runway show, the opening of a pop-up shop, and a rare performance by Missy Elliott — was truly a cool kids' playground.
But don't feel too bad you missed it. Make like you are anyone who's anyone and go inside the party now.
