Alexander McQueen

Kate taps Alexander McQueen for everything from simple coat dresses to, yes, her wedding gown [4] and the daytime-chic looks in between. She wore this lovely red-and-white eyelet set [5] in Canada in September 2016.

It would be a surprise, but we would love to see Kate take on something voluminous and bold like this tulle, tiered number with a cinched waist. Of course, she could complete it with simple pumps and a box clutch.

Stella McCartney

Kate hasn't updated her wardrobe with a new Stella McCartney piece in quite a while, but there's no time like the present, especially given the designer's push for eco-friendly wares. Kate modeled her power color, blue [6], in July 2012, when she styled this Stella McCartney shift with a pendant necklace.

Kate should absolutely stick to the flattering shade and try one of Stella's ruffled, feminine midi dresses from the Spring 2018 collection.

Chanel

Kate's tweed Chanel look, which paid homage to Paris when she visited the city in March 2017, made for one of her most memorable fashion moments yet [7].

We would love to see her update her wardrobe with a touch of yellow. This sophisticated, structured suit from Chanel's Spring 2018 runway [8] would sparkle in the sunlight.

Chloé

Kate has worn this lovely See by Chloé ivory dress twice. Her most recent appearance [9] in the high-neck fit-and-flare was at a garden party in London in May 2017, but Kate also styled the number [10] in the same way for her Canada tour in September 2016.

We'd love for the duchess to select something from Natacha Ramsay-Levi's debut collection for the Chloé brand. This neutral-toned gown is easy to style, and though it's more muted, it's certainly not boring, with a swathing of sequins that give off regal vibes.

Altuzarra

We totally swooned the first (and only!) time Kate wore an Altuzarra dress [11]. She stood out for miles in this printed day dress in England in September 2016.

Ever since Kate wore Altuzarra, we've been crossing our fingers she'd make the move again. We think this shirt dress is perfect for her. She might remove the slit and belt, but the piece is still modest enough for her wardrobe.

Sportmax

Kate owns this hunter green wool coat [12] from the Italian brand, which she most recently wore in Scotland in February 2016.

We'd love to see Kate try a breezy, long dress from the Spring 2018 line, and this floral number is a great place to start.

Missoni

Kate owns at least two Missoni coats, including this stylish tweed design [13], which she wore in Norfolk in March 2016.

While the duchess has only tapped the fashion house for outerwear so far, we think a collared Spring dress with buttons would make a lovely addition to her wardrobe.

Dolce & Gabbana

Kate flaunted this polka-dot Dolce & Gabbana fit-and-flare [14] at Wimbledon in July 2017. It popped with neutral accessories, including Oscar de la Renta earrings and a Victoria Beckham [15] satchel.

We'd love to see Kate add a new blazer to her closet in the D&G print she obviously already approves of. We can see her working it with slim-fit skinny jeans and wedges.

Gucci

Kate wore this standout tweed Gucci number [16] with red piping for a visit to the Victoria and Albert Museum in London in June 2017. Kate finished the outfit with L.K. Bennett pumps and Kiki McDonough earrings.

How magical would it be to see Kate in this embellished white Gucci gown at a formal event?

Jenny Packham

Kate has worn so many Jenny Packham gowns [17] throughout the years that she's started to experiment with the brand's more embellished looks. Kate's worn this dusty rose beaded dress twice, pictured here at a gala dinner in 2016.

Since Kate's so familiar with the Jenny Packham brand, we dare her to slip into one of the trendier styles from the Spring 2018 collection. The sheer mesh ruffles and firework-like spray of sequins make this floor-length design stand out.

Self-Portrait

We were delighted to see Kate Middleton in a Self-Portrait dress [18] (with a leg slit!) at the London premiere of A Street Cat Named Bob. Her gown was modest with just an ounce of sexy, and ever since, many other royals have picked up on the popular fashion line [19].

We can imagine Kate taking on a daytime event in this three-quarter bishop-sleeved dress. Perhaps she'd tweak the look to omit both slits, but the cold shoulder detail and intricate trim would still stand out.

Naeem Khan

Ever since Kate wore Naeem Khan [20] for her much-anticipated visit to the Taj Mahal [21] in April 2016, we've been pining for her to wear another look from the designer's ever-regal collections.

We can imagine Kate's stylist lining this glittering black gown with a slip for a fancy event. She could accessorize with one of her Anya Hindmarch box clutches [22] in satin.

Emilia Wickstead

Kate has chosen Emilia Wickstead designs for traveling, garden parties, and early morning appearances. She looks lovely in the British designer's tailored coats and dresses, and they're offered in many different bright colors.

As soon as we spotted this bow-adorned blazer dress on the runway, we knew it was meant for Kate. She might modify the piece by shortening the hemline to get around easier, but we think she'd find this shade of pink to be just right [23].

Temperley

On Kate Middleton's trip to India in 2016, she wore this Temperley London illusion gown [24], which was actually a crop top and skirt set. Kate's worn Temperley plenty of times before.

We hope Kate shops the latest Temperley collection for some festive evening wear. We love the longer flutter sleeves and midnight navy shade of this design.

Roksanda

Kate shops Roksanda for modern pieces in interesting, bright shades. While she first wore this colorblocked shift in 2014, the duchess brought it back for a Wimbledon match [25] in 2016.

We were struck by the intriguing neckline on this embroidered maxi that we can see Kate packing for a royal tour when she's due to make a statement.

Preen

Kate was clearly very excited about this Preen silhouette — which she put on for a reception at the Government House in Canada in 2016 — because she doesn't just own the dress in red [26], but in black too [27].

If the duchess is in need of a bold new power look, she's already had luck with one red Preen look before. Why not try this update on for size?

Roland Mouret

Blue is Kate's power color [28], and that's all too obvious when you look at her in this formfitting cobalt Roland Mouret dress, which she wore here to a SportsAid anniversary dinner in 2016.

The exact same shade of blue just rolled down the Roland Mouret runway, this time in the form of a floral midi stitched with swirling flowers. Kate might add cap sleeves to the piece, and perhaps style it with plain pumps.

Christopher Kane

Kate owns a couple of Christopher Kane coat dresses, and we know they're a timeless staple [29] that she styles with coordinating fascinators and neutral heels.

We'd love for Kate to add a girlie plaid coat like this one to her rotation. Check out the glittering stones on the collar!

Erdem

While Kate's tapped Erdem for many occasions, the printed set [30] she wore on her 2017 tour of Poland and Germany [31] was particularly refreshing. The brand continues to master florals season after season, and we wouldn't be surprised if Kate takes notice.

We think this pale purple gown would be a lovely choice for an evening event in the Spring or Summer. Its high neckline and pouf sleeves make it modest and sophisticated, and the tiered ruffles add extra dimension, making it the perfect one-and-done look.
