H&M Just Re-Created Kate Middleton's Wedding Dress, and It Costs Less Than $300

Apr 10 2018 - 9:57am

When we learned that H&M had launched a wedding line [1], we were immediately thrilled. From short and fun frocks to fluid silhouettes, the collection offers a more affordable take on some of the biggest bridal trends [2], and we didn't think it could get any better. However, it all changed when we saw that the brand had also created a dress, which, although it hasn't been confirmed, seems to have been inspired by Kate Middleton's wedding gown [3].

With its bustier top and delicate lace sleeves, the dress is a gorgeous take on the Duchess of Cambridge's custom Alexander McQueen gown. While it doesn't come with Kate's iconic train, it does come with a few added details: a thin ribbon belt and a keyhole slit in the back, which we can't help but think was inspired by Pippa Middleton's own wedding dress [4] — and at $299, we really can't fault it. Ahead, take another a look at Kate's legendary look, then shop H&M's version for yourself.
