After gaining weight postpregnancy, Taryn Brumfitt decided she was going to get in the best shape of her life. Once she did, however, she didn't gain the self-confidence she had imagined. That's when she decided to embark on a journey that would attempt to decipher the ongoing global obsession with attaining a certain body. That journey is the subject of Embrace.

Embrace is an upcoming documentary [1] that was initially funded by Kickstarter. In it, Taryn speaks to other women who have struggled with their self-esteem in relation to their figures, as well as experts who shed light on body-image issues. Taryn had previously made headlines when she shared an unconventional before-and-after photo [2] of herself that sparked a conversation about women's bodies post-pregnancy.
