Selena Quintanilla tragically passed away over two decades ago, but her legacy certainly lives on as current mainstream artists cover her iconic songs [1] and people still watch and discuss her posthumous biopic [2]. This video is proving the late singer's lasting effect on people.
In a video produced by FBE [3], adults of various backgrounds were asked to watch several Selena performances and share their feelings — oftentimes through tears. At the start of the video, many of them commented on how widespread her songs became, ultimately making her a huge crossover success [4]. On the extent of her potential, one participant said, "She could be the Mexican-American Beyoncé," while another one compared her talents to that of Michael Jackson [5].
