Paying zero in taxes doesn't make you "smart."

To say Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton got heated during tonight's presidential debate would be an understatement. One moment that stood out? While Trump has famously not released his tax returns — unlike every presidential candidate in the last 40 years — Clinton suggested [3] it was because he "has paid nothing in federal taxes." Interrupting her, Trump rebuffed, "That makes me smart." And there you have it: Trump potentially just admitted to not paying federal taxes and said not doing so means he is smart.
Understandably, people tore Trump's admission apart on Twitter.

Hillary: Trumps tax returns probably show that he is a trash human being.
