In less than a week, Donald Trump [1] has stirred up more controversy than what's considered normal — even for him. People are now wondering, "Is Donald Trump just plain crazy? [2]" In case you missed it, here's what's been going down:

• He lashed out at the Khan family, [3] whose Muslim-American son died while serving in Iraq, and who criticized Trump for his proposed ban on Muslims.
• He refused to endorse House Speaker Paul Ryan and Senator John McCain in their reelection campaigns after they criticized him for his comments about the Khan family [4].
• He was given a purple heart [5], which is awarded to service members who have been wounded in war, at a campaign event and said, "I always wanted to get the purple heart. This was much easier."
• He said that if his daughter Ivanka were sexually harassed at work, she would find another career or company to work for [6] (as opposed to reporting the harassment).
• He told a mother to get her crying baby [7] out of his rally.
• He said he's never spoken to Russian President Vladimir Putin [8] despite previously claiming the two had met.
• He said Putin would never invade Ukraine [9] even though he already has.
• He reacted to the DNC [10] by saying he wanted to "hit a number of those speakers so hard, their heads would spin."

Since then, several Republicans have said they will ditch Trump and vote for Hillary Clinton [11] in November. This has all given us a glimpse into what life would be like with Trump in the Oval Office. As president, Trump would get criticized and probably respond by getting defensive and bashing the detractor rather than engaging in productive dialogue. As president, Trump would deal with foreign nations about which he knows little. As president, Trump would have to work with people in both parties and likely cause tension that overshadows productivity.

This picture is terrifying and it's another reason we can't afford to let him win this election [12].
