Slow-Cooker Chicken Tikka Masala

How to Make Crockpot Chicken Tikka Masala

Ingredients

  1. 1 28-ounce can crushed tomatoes
    1 small uncooked onion, minced
    1 tablespoon minced garlic
    1 tablespoon ginger root, fresh, minced
    2 tablespoons garam masala
    1 tablespoon dark brown sugar
    1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
    1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
    2 pounds uncooked boneless, skinless chicken thighs
    1 tablespoon kosher salt
    1/2 cup plain low-fat Greek yogurt
    1/4 cup cilantro, fresh, chopped (optional)

Directions

  1. Combine all ingredients except yogurt and cilantro in slow cooker.
  2. Cook on high for 3 to 4 hours or low for 6 to 8 hours.
  3. Stir in yogurt and cilantro.

Serving size: Yields about 1 cup chicken with sauce per serving.
