Healthy Salted Caramel Blondies

Because the almond butter made the mixture thick, I chose to use a beater to stir. I made two batches, one pan with parchment paper and one greased pan, and both worked well.

Healthy Salted Caramel Blondies Recipe


  1. 1 cup of unsalted creamy almond butter⁣
    1/2 cup of maple syrup ⁣
    2 eggs
    1 tablespoon of vanilla extract ⁣
    2 cups of almond flour
    1/2 teaspoon of fine grain sea salt ⁣
    1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon ⁣
    1 teaspoon of baking soda⁣
    1 apple of choice, cubed ⁣
    Caramel sauce
    Flaky sea salt


For the Blondies

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F.
  2. Stir together the almond butter, maple syrup, eggs, vanilla, almond flour, salt, cinnamon, and baking soda until smooth.
  3. Pour mixture into a parchment-lined 9" x 9" pan, and spread.
  4. Top evenly with apple cubes.
  5. Bake for 40-45 minutes, until the top is brown.
  6. Drizzle with caramel sauce and top with flaky sea salt. Enjoy!

For the Caramel Sauce

  1. For caramel sauce, mix together 2 tablespoons of almond butter (can substitute for other nut butter if you prefer) and 2 tablespoons of maple syrup, until the consistency is prime for drizzling.
  2. You can also put 13.5 ounces of full fat coconut milk, 1/2 cup of coconut sugar and some salt in a pot and cook over medium heat and stir until the mixture thickens and looks like caramel sauce. Add in 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract and 1 teaspoon of coconut oil.
