You know how we feel about fall dessert recipes (we love them), and this recipe for salted caramel blondies by TikTokuser and Instagram @lizmoody has officially made it into our repertoires. It's grain-free, dairy-free, and doesn't have any pumpkin in case you're (somehow) sick of that flavor this fall season, already. She says that these blondies taste like cookie dough in bar form, and after making them ourselves, we are convinced.

I'm not someone who typically likes caramel flavors, but this recipe takes the cake (literally). The entire baking process smelled delicious, and the finished product was so deliciously moist and decadent that I made two batches! The one tip I have is to make the apple chunks a little bigger than you think, as I cut mine smaller than the original recipe and I wished there was more of them.

TO make the blondies, you simply need to preheat the oven and stir together the ingredients. Pour into our prepared tin and top evenly with apple cubes to bake. Drizzle (or drown, whichever) the cooked dessert with the caramel sauce you made and top with a generous amount of flaky sea salt. Serve to yourself or friends as a yummy fall treat.

Because the almond butter made the mixture thick, I chose to use a beater to stir. I made two batches, one pan with parchment paper and one greased pan, and both worked well.

Healthy Salted Caramel Blondies Recipe


  1. 1 cup of unsalted creamy almond butter⁣
    1/2 cup of maple syrup ⁣
    2 eggs
    1 tablespoon of vanilla extract ⁣
    2 cups of almond flour
    1/2 teaspoon of fine grain sea salt ⁣
    1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon ⁣
    1 teaspoon of baking soda⁣
    1 apple of choice, cubed ⁣
    Caramel sauce
    Flaky sea salt


For the Blondies

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F.
  2. Stir together the almond butter, maple syrup, eggs, vanilla, almond flour, salt, cinnamon, and baking soda until smooth.
  3. Pour mixture into a parchment-lined 9" x 9" pan, and spread.
  4. Top evenly with apple cubes.
  5. Bake for 40-45 minutes, until the top is brown.
  6. Drizzle with caramel sauce and top with flaky sea salt. Enjoy!

For the Caramel Sauce

  1. For caramel sauce, mix together 2 tablespoons of almond butter (can substitute for other nut butter if you prefer) and 2 tablespoons of maple syrup, until the consistency is prime for drizzling.
  2. You can also put 13.5 ounces of full fat coconut milk, 1/2 cup of coconut sugar and some salt in a pot and cook over medium heat and stir until the mixture thickens and looks like caramel sauce. Add in 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract and 1 teaspoon of coconut oil.
